Chicks are straight run $3/each. I have been raising my Rhode Island Red flock for about 8 years and have brought in blood lines from multiple sources, including deep red heritage Rhode Island Reds. The two very dark ones that look almost black in the pictures are actually a beautiful deep red. This is a calm breed that lays 250+ eggs per year. They are very hardy reliable layers.
